House Of Fraser’s Christmas Shindig.

Last week as a flurry of snow swept across London I was applying my favourite red lipstick ready to head out for an evening of festivities with House Of Fraser. I made the short trip from my flat in South London to The City, bundled up in my teddy bear coat as my breath curlled like smoke on the cold night air. I was heading to Searcey’s Club at the Gherkin, my tummy was rumbling and I was ready to giggle the night away in the most beautiful setting I have ever seen.

My style has changed a lot this year, as I’ve been learning to feel more comfortable in my own skin I have fallen into a far more relaxed way of dressing. This event was the first time I had got dressed up in months so I wanted to go for an outfit made me feel sassy but still retained my laid back style. I stumbled upon this jumpsuit while Christmas shopping for my family and fell in love with it instantly. The length and lack of sparkle was still in keeping with what I’m happiest wearing while the low cut back showed off one part of my body I really do like.

I paired it with an old pair of glittery boots to add a little bit of festive cheer to this otherwise very black ensemble and finished things off with a new favourite pair of earrings. This jumpsuit is perfect for those gals who, like myself, find the party season a little tricky to navigate when you would rather be wearing jeans and converse instead of heels and a dress.

Twinkling lights made their way through the maze like streets below us as we worked our way through three courses of scrumptious food. Starting with ricotta cheese and butternut squash followed by truffle and parmesan risotto and finished off with Christmas pudding and custard the last of which was demolished before I even had a chance to take a picture.

As the night drew to a close, once our plates were clean and our glasses had been drained it was time to head back to reality but that wasn’t before House Of Fraser sent us home with a little bit of festive magic. A hand wrapped present each and a goody bag filled to the brim with pieces they thought we would love, gifts from House Of Fraser to us, the hand wrapped present conveniently chosen by myself. And my favourite goody bag item? A beautiful backpack from Linea, its sleek, black and linked at the bottom of this post incase you fancy taking a peek at it…

I was most certainly that child who woke my mum up at the crack of dawn on Christmas day shrieking “He’s been, He’s been, HE’S BEEEEEN” and if I’m being honest I haven’t changed one bit. Just like Christmas morning I couldn’t wait to tear open the festive paper that hid my gift and proceeded to unwrap it in the backseat of my uber. Encased in said wrapping was a palette I have always wanted to try out, it was the Charlotte Tilbury, Instant Look In A Palette. As I’m going travelling next year I thought that this would be the perfect companion to bring with me, small enough to slip into my hand luggage while glam enough to see me through six months across the other side of the world.

Every time I use it I’m sure I’m going to be thanking House Of Fraser for a beautiful evening over looking my wonderful city.
